A Couple Moved Into Their New Home And Found A Note From The Previous Owner With 1 Important Rule

After you purchase a new home, there are usually a few things about it that just aren’t perfect. And no matter how much research you do and how many times you view the property before you meet at the closing table, there are things that you’re just not going to know about the property until you start living there. Perhaps, there is something strange about the shower, or the insulation does not keep in heat during the winter, or there are too many spiders in the basement.

Or it might have to do with a furry and adorable visitor. That’s what happened when Miranda and her family purchased a home and moved into a new neighborhood. And after closing on the property, they stepped into it and fell in love with the place all over again. Then they saw the note left by the previous owner. And that’s when they learned that the house came with a guest that they never agreed to support.

Although Miranda and her family paid a premium for the property, the previous owner wanted to ask a “favor” of her even though they no longer lived there. However, Miranda found it endearing and not overbearing.

She snapped a photo of the note and then uploaded it to her Instagram page where she watched it accumulate hundreds of likes and comments.

So what did the previous homeowner’s note say?

“Welcome to our beloved home!

“We hope you enjoy it as much as we have! There’s one favor we ask of you. You do not have to do it, but we would appreciate it if you did. In the backyard, there is an old orange kitty who live there. He is feral and was born in our backyard 12 years ago. He has an injured paw and will not let you up near him. We feed him every day, twice a day and we have for years now. We usually feed him some dry or wet cat food with some water, on the porch in the backyard. We bought him a little house for the winter and rainy days that is placed against the wall in the backyard. We would really appreciate it if you would continue to feed him. We just hate leaving him behind.

“God bless and welcome to your new home!”

The note just goes to show you that we all leave an impression on the properties we inhabit. Even if we find it a miserable experience while we are there, we inevitably impart a piece of us when we leave.

Although this feral cat never showed the previous homeowners any affection, they still wanted to help him get through the winters with a full belly.

After Miranda and her family saw the note, they “immediately looked out the back sliding glass door and he was looking at us through the door.”

Apparently, the feral cat was ready for one of his twice-daily feedings.

Although the previous owner had no idea, Miranda actually adopted rescue cats. “The house we lived in previously, people used to drop off their cats there, and we took them in.”

It seems this feral cat could not have welcomed in better new homeowners.
